The sun streamed in through the stain glass of St. Norbert’s Church as he wait for her at the alter. His parents waiting alongside him for his future wife to walk into the church. Family and friends staggered themselves outside, waiting right along with him. As the music shifted and the church doors opened, there she was. Stunning him in place as his beautiful bride walked down the aisle toward him with both her parents. Tears rimmed his eyes as he took in the beauty of her. And all he thought was how absolutely perfect this moment was.
Connor and Marissa met through some mutual friends who set them up together. Connor is a paramedic who works with Marissa’s sister and the second she walked into that fire station and saw him, it was game over. As she continued to visit her sister, they kept talking and learning more and more about each other. Leaving the station after one of these many run-ins, she just felt like that was the man she was going to marry one day.
As the years progressed, they went on many dates including trying new foods and visiting Door County. On one of their many visits to Door County, they decided to hike Peninsula State Park and see the fall colors. They began hiking deeper into the trail and Connor started acting nervous and kept looking for the perfect spot. Finally, once he felt like he found it, he told Marissa to head into the clearing to see the fall colors across the peninsula. Little did Marissa know that Connor was about to ask her for her hand in marriage. And as she screamed YES before he even ask the question, the rest as they say, is history.
Marissa and Connor, I am still trying to take in how your wedding day has already come and gone. EVERY.SINGLE.PIECE was pure perfection. You guys have become so much more than a couple to me. I have had the chance to watch your love grow and I can still remember Connor telling me at Alicia’s wedding that he had a ring for you. I just smiled because I knew in my heart, you two were perfect. So you have to make me a promise, promise me you will keep in touch.
Love Camille!
