They gripped onto the metal railing tightly. Praying that the water surging below wouldn’t reach their feet. The waves pushed their way over the north canal breakwater in Sturgeon Bay. The sun glittered off the dampened concrete. Causing the sun to shimmer upward. The old wooden walkway was the only savor from the sun. A thick breeze blew off Lake Michigan, sending a chilling spiraling down our spines. Winter was edging closer as the days shorten and the temperatures dropped. As the waves receded, Carrie and Trevor released their hold on the railing. Landing back onto the breakwater and watching the waves creep back out toward the lake.
I have known Carrie and Trevor for what feels like forever but I have never in my life, seen them laugh like they did at their engagement session in Sturgeon Bay. I can’t actually think of a moment where they weren’t laughing. From teaching Carrie what leap frog is to watching Trevor dance. I think I gained a set of abs from these two. But I will say that we sure did have a ton of fun. I also learned that Carrie isn’t the strongest swimmer but she doesn’t tell me this until we are on the North Canal breakwater in Sturgeon Bay. But I guess you do what needs to be done to get amazing photos like these.
I am so excited to share these photos with the world. Although these are only a few out of the hundreds we took, I think it about sums up how much fun we had. I must say, from the very bottom of my heart, thank you to Carrie and Trevor for always trusting me to get the best photos for you both. Enjoy a few sneak peeks from your engagement session in Sturgeon Bay at the north canal.
