Have you ever seen Door County in the fall? Where the leaves all collide to make a fire like surrounding. Oranges and reds blend together with yellows to make a show of colors against the crisp sky. Daytime light shortens giving you only small moments to truly enjoy the colors. Door County during the fall is the perfect time for engagement photos. There is no color like that of a Door County Fall. You can feel the fingertips of winter edging closer each day but the colors give you the last true hope of fall.
When my couple ask for fall photos, I instantly think of Door County and its unmatched beauty. You hear me say this a lot that Door County has this unmatched beauty. But until you have seen it, you will not understand why I say it as frequently as I do. Door County in the fall is perfect for engagement photos and when you add in an adorable doggie that just wants to hunt for sticks, well that is the perfect fall afternoon for me.
Erika is another beautiful soul that I got to play soccer with in high school so when she asked me to shoot her wedding, I couldn’t be happier! Bonus points, she hit my weak spot and brought her dog along for the ride. Did you see how precious Ajax is? Also, we got to experience how much Zack loves doing a Baywatch scene through the fields. With a straight face. Or not. Regardless, there was plenty of laughs and random stick throwing to be had during their engagement session in Door County.
Erika and Zack, thank you for allowing me to come out to Zack’s family land and capture your engagement photos. Also, thank you Zack for not dooming me in the head with a chunk of wood because that would have stung. Enjoy a few more favorites from your Door County engagement session.
Love Camille
