The cherry blossoms swayed gently on the whisper of the wind at Seaquist Orchards in Sister Bay. Surrounding them in a sea of white. The sun glowed through the blossoms, a welcome relief from the rain that was falling just moments before. The blossoms lite like they were on fire. Their translucent color glowing yellow. Reminding us that summer was quickly approaching. We let in the last kisses from the sun before it moved behind the trees, ridding us of its beauty. Turning down for another night as dusk settled upon us and the crackle of campfires echoed in the distance.
So if you know me, you know Door County is my favorite Wisconsin getaway. With the help of an amazing friend and an adventurous couple, we patiently waiting for the blooming of the cherry blossoms at Seaquist Orchards just north of Sister Bay. I have been wanting to do a session up there during the blossoms for some time and Dylan and Amanda were game for it. Even though I kept Dylan out past his bedtime, he was a real trooper. I bet him that at the end of the session, I would have him cracking a smile at least once and guess what, I DID IT!! All it took was some Letterkenny references and there I had it. It was as simple as, “Pitter, Patter, let’s get at her” and we made quick friends. Dylan and Amanda are truly wonderful people. They are extremely kind hearted and hard working.
Dylan and Amanda, thank you for driving up to Sister Bay for your engagement session. You made a dream of mine come true and I cannot thank you enough for that! Special thanks to Dylan for always helping Amanda understand my slurred nonsense and get her feet in the right spot! And huge thank you to Amanda for always laughing at my jokes. I actually think most of them are good! So grab a Puppers and enjoy a few favorites from your engagement session!
