Karpowicz Wedding | Green Bay Botanical Gardens

The crowd waiting as his hand pushing into his suit jacket. They had just finished up celebrating the marriage between Sam and Becky at Green Bay Botanical Gardens. Family and friends waiting. Trying to peer around his jacket to see what lays inside. Slowly he pulled out a baggie, filled with two chocolate chip cookies. Looking Sam right in the eye, he brought the mic up to his mouth. “Sam, if this is really you, you will know what to do with this chocolate chip cookie.” Handing the cookie over, Sam’s grin grew. He looked Becky’s dad right in the eye and took a huge bite of the cookie. Smiling, Becky’s dad agreed that this man, who Becky just married, was truly Sam. You see, Sam had a beard prior to their wedding day. A signature piece to his look. And this, is why the cookie test had to take place.

“Sam, if this is really you, you will know what to do with this chocolate chip cookie.”

Sam and Becky met while they were at college. Becky knew Sam was the one when she went to get something from another room and left Sam alone, with some Oreos. When she returned, the Oreos seems to have reduced in number. He just couldn’t resist the temptation that laid before him. But that, was just what Becky needed to know that Sam and her were a match. Now, years later, two snack-o-holics got to tied the knot!

Becky and Sam are two amazing people. They know how to crack a joke and love laughing on a daily basis. I will always remember how Becky would respond to “10-4” when I would tell her how to stand or pet Sam’s beard. I will always remember exactly the way Sam looks at Becky, like she is the best thing in the world. When we were riding back to the main building at Green Bay Botanical Gardens after the ceremony, Sam laid his head on Becky’s shoulder and snuggled right up into her.
