Slowly stepping onto the ice. We tested each step. Seeing if the ice could handle the weight. Silence echoed through Peninsula State Park. Waiting to hear the faint sound of ice cracking. The trees rattled. Scratching against each other in a symphony of sounds. Wind whipped into the bay, sending chills racing down your spine. She waited from the shore as we found the perfect spot. Turning in a circle, we waved her over. Cautiously, she took her first step onto the ice. Testing its strength. After a few hesitant steps, she made her way over to us.
I cannot say enough about Katie and Justin. The stuck it out with me as we stood frozen on the ice in Peninsula State Park. Getting the perfect shot from all angles. Katie shivered through the best of it and handled it like a pro. Justin braced the cold with equal resistance. At the end of it all, we headed back into Egg Harbor to enjoy lunch and heat up at the “new” Shipwreck. If you haven’t checked it out, I would recommend the stir fry;) (Is that a shameless plug?)
Katie and Justin, thank you again for dealing with my crazy shenanigans and bringing my vision to life. I have been with you since day one. Going on vacation with you both twice and I even got to capture your engagement on camera. I can’t think of two better friends to have. I am so excited to see where life takes you both. Enjoy a few favorites from your Peninsula State Park engagement session!
Love Camille!
