He kept leading her deeper and deeper on the trail at Peninsula State Park. His head constantly pivoting toward that water. Watching the waves lick the shoreline. He continued on the trail. Determined to find the best spot. Waiting for the right moment. Finally he spotted a flat shore. Rushing towards the water, he turned back towards her. The love of his life. The most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. He called back up to her. Telling her to come down by him. To observe the water crashing against the shoreline. After about 30 seconds she turned to go back towards the trail. He stopped her, looked her deep in the eyes and asked her to wait. Turning completely towards her, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
We went back to that exact spot. Right where Connor asked Marissa to be his wife. It was as magically as it sounds even with the sun disappearing quickly in the distance. Connor and Marissa are so extremely gracious and kind. They are always laughing at my little jokes and constantly poking fun at each other. I originally met them at her sister’s wedding earlier this fall and we just clicked. Connor and Marissa are a match made in perfect heaven:)
Connor and Marissa, thank you for handling all of my random jokes in stride. It is an honor to have you as a bride and groom and I probably screamed in excitement when I saw that you got engaged. For you to pick me as your photographer to capture your day, is the icing on a delicious chocolate cake. I am so happy to have photographed your engagement photos at the same park you got engaged at. Peninsula State Park is so beautiful! Enjoy a few favorites from your engagement session and I CANNOT wait for your wedding!
