Have you ever driven into High Cliff State Park and seen the willow tree that greets you as you enter. Or the way that same willow tree lets light stream past its leaves. Have you noticed how the leaves glow in the evening sun? Turning from a deep green into a golden green. Where the yellow colors are drawn out. Or the way it softly sways in the breeze as it blows off the water. Protecting you from the wind and cradling you amongst the branches. A willow treee represents balance, learning, growth and harmony. All necessities of a strong marriage.
Mitchell and Stephanie relationship reminds me of a willow tree. The trunk of the tree holds the weight of the branches as they dip down to kiss the earth. Remaining a stable foundation as the branches reach out. Mitchell will always ground Stephanie. Being the stable foundation as she greet new people. Holding her strong and steady as she reaches out to discover and learn. The branches of the willow tree provide shelter to the trunk. Surrounding it and protecting it from the outside world. Stephanie will always protect Mitchell from the world around us. She will wrap up in his arms, lay her head on his chest and remind him that the heart beats strongly.
