There was a slight breeze blowing that sunny Friday at the Barn at Trinity Peak. He bowed his head. Counting the blades of grass as he waited. One, two, three. Hands shaking. The slight termer of his nerves visible. His breathing rapid. Quick short bursts of oxygen trying to reach his lungs. He heart beat wildly against his chest. He had been waiting for this moment for seven years. To see her dressed in white and walking towards him.
He continued to count, only glancing up briefing to see the bridesmaids walk toward him. Dressed in long flowing plum dress with lace on the top. Their dresses continued to blow in the afternoon breeze. Bouquets in hand. Smiles set wide. He looked back down. His thoughts raced. Eyes counting the blades of grass. The crowd shifted. The movement of cotton sundresses and dress pants rising, echoing through his ears. Competing with the loud whirling sound of his beating heart that pulsed inside his head. His eyes upwards and his heart expanded.
The faint breeze push the willow tree above him as it glided across his neck. The gentle sound of the branches rubbing together. His gaze was set on her. On the beautiful woman walking towards him. Dressed in white lace. Hair pulled back from her flawless face. He felt the gentle tear slip done his face. Leaving a damp trail in its wake. His bride. His love. She was flawless and all his. Tears continued to fall as she approached. Face bright. A smile that was directed completely for him. Today, he knew, that forever started now.
He couldn’t stop staring at you, Laura. It was almost like he thought you were going to disappear. He could not believe it was finally happening! You were becoming his wife. We couldn’t remove the smile off of his face if we tried. It is amazing what love can do to you. Smiles. It just makes you smile like crazy. She was so excited to become your wife Brad, we could just tell. She also wore a smile like a badge of honor. So proud to be becoming a Hauser. To be able to call herself Brad’s wife. Both of you have the most infectious personalities. You know how to also make every moment special whether you are cracking a joke or just simply sharing a smile. The love that is shared between you is a timeless love that doesn’t end
